**Introduction (10 minutes):**
1. **Greeting & Warm-Up:** Start by greeting the class. Sing a short song or rhyme related to respect.

- Ask students what they understand by the word "respect." Discuss briefly.
- Explain that today they will talk about people in their community whom they should respect.
**Development (20 minutes):**
3. **Discussion:**
- Show picture cards of various community helpers.
- Ask students to name the person and discuss their role.
e.g., "Who is this?" (holding up the picture of a teacher)
"What does a teacher do?" (elicit responses)
4. **Identifying Respect:**
- Explain why we should respect these individuals.
e.g., "We respect teachers because they help us learn new things."
- Highlight various ways to show respect (saying “please” and “thank you,” listening when others speak, helping them, etc.).
5. **Interactive Activity:**
- Divide students into small groups.
- Give each group a scenario card with a situation where they need to show respect to a community helper.
- Let the groups discuss and role-play how they would show respect.
e.g., "You are at the doctor's office. What should you do to show respect?"
**Practice (10 minutes):**
6. **Class Activity:**
- On the chart paper, draw columns with the headers: "Person to Respect," "What They Do," and "How We Show Respect."
